md state lottery have $ 40,000 winner

md state lottery winner Donna and Bill Stephenson, from Leduc, Alberta, was greeted with a cracked open champagne bottles. No word yet on the type of champagne, but they can be given a bottle of Dom Perignon $ 40,000 White Gold Jeroboam if they want. That's because they won $ 1 million from the Lotto Max draw MaxMillions November 6, 2009. (OK, I exaggerate, I doubt they would be so foolish as to buy a bottle of champagne $ 40,000, at least, I hope they will not!).

MaxMillions is a relatively new lottery games in Canada. It just kicks the bonus interest when the main Lotto draw Max hits jackpot $ 50 million. So, Donna and Bill Stephenson was not too familiar with the rules of the game. They see that they matched all the numbers, but because it is a draw bonus, they think that they win, maybe, $ 10. Imagine his surprise when they check their tickets at self-service scanner and saw that they won a million dollars. That's when the champagne out!

At the time of their win, Donna and Bill Stephenson, living in Leduc, Alberta. Leduc is located south of Edmonton. No word yet on what they plan to do with their winnings.
